Learning Center Students earn TCA Awards

ALEXANDRIA — Twenty-six students recently participated in an awards ceremony at the Learning Center of Rapides Parish after completing LSU at Eunice’s program for a Medical Billing and Coding Technical Competency Area award.
The graduates of the program, while enrolled at LSU at Eunice, completed all the coursework for the TCA award at the Learning Center of Rapids Parish.
LSUE Chancellor Dr. William J. Nunez, LSUE Vice Chancellor Stephen Guempel and Director of Continuing Education at LSUE David Pulling presided over the awards ceremony.
Participating in the 2007 class were Marlena Culbert, Pineville; Amy Leah Vanlangendonck, Lecompte; Deborah Sims Hanson of Alexandria; Crystal Mitchell, Alexandria; Crista Shay Rollins, Alexandria; Rhoda Washington, Alexandria; Helen Lewis of Alexandria; April Payne, Aleaxandria; Jolene Miller, Alexndria; and Michele Constance of Pineville.
Also participating were Yolanda Harris, Pineville; Debra Lonigro, Alexandria; Belinda Milliner, Pineville; Phyllis Leonard, Alexandria; Mary Gates, Ball; Debra Louis Guillory, Alexandria; Michael Dauzat, Pineville; Tasha Laree Hargrove, Jena; Megan Mueller, Alexandria; Mayme Peters, Tioga; Barbara Mitchell, Alexandria; Alicia Duhon, Pineville; Charlene Elliott, Pineville; Patricia Wysinger, Pineville; Tanya Rubin, Alexandria and Tammi Thomas of Alexandria.
The Medical Billing and Coding TCA course is one of LSU at Eunice’s most popular course offered at the Learning Center. The 15 semester-hour course covers medical coding, health insurance and medical billing, and medical reimbursement strategies.
