EUNICE - Workshops to help high school students prepare to take the American College Test will be offered 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. August 25 September 8 by the LSU at Eunice Office of Continuing Education.
Since ACT scores are one factor used to determine eligibility for the state’s Tuition Opportunity Program for Students (TOPS) scholarships, high school students are encouraged to do well on the test.
The August 25 workshop will focus on the English, reading and writing sections of the ACT. The September 8 workshop will prepare students for the math and science sections.
The workshops will meet in Room 214 of the Health Technology Building on the LSUE campus.
The fee to take one workshop is $59 or $99 for both workshops. Enrollment is limited.
The sessions will include test-taking strategies, sample test items and practice exercises.
Additional workshops in English will be held October 6 and November 17. Additional Math workshops will be held on October 20 and December 1.
For registration information, contact the LSUE Office of Continuing Education (337) 550-1390, or toll free, 1-888-367-5783, ext. 390.
