A Cappella Group Headlines Next LSUE Performing Arts Series Event
EUNICE – The a cappella group InPulse will perform at the Liberty Center for the Performing Arts on Friday, April 25 at 7 p.m. as part of the LSU Eunice Performing Arts.
Having trained at world-renowned St. Olaf College in Northfield, MN, the group’s high standards for vocal technique, execution, and musical integrity have won them numerous awards.
InPulse was named Grand Champion of the 2004 Rocky Mountain Harmony Sweepstakes in Denver, CO, where they also won awards for Best Soloist and Best Original Song. The band took Runner-up at the 2004 International Harmony Sweepstakes Finals in San Rafael, CA, again winning Best Original Song. They have been selected for Mainstage Showcases at the 2007 National Association of Campus Activities (NACA) and Association for Promotion of Campus Activities (APCA) National Conferences - in Nashville, TN and Atlanta, GA, respectively. INPULSE was awarded Runner-Up for “2007 Band of the Year” by Campus Activities Magazine, making them one of the hottest, most sought-after acts on the college market today.
InPulse is creates a powerful sound that features stunning solos, exceptional harmonic blend, and driving rhythms. Their performances showcase the beauty and versatility of the human voice, drawing from virtually every genre of music – from pop to rock, country to hip-hop, and jazz to R&B.
Tickets for the event are available at Eunice Mayor’s Office and the LSUE Business Office located in the Science Building on the campus. They are also available in Opelousas at Sebastian-Dupre Jewelry. Tickets are $5 for general admission and $20 the Dinner and Show admission with a meal being served at the Ruby’s Café Banquet Room on Second Street.
This performance is being sponsored by the LSUE Performing Arts Series, the Acadian Arts Council, the Louisiana Division of the Arts, the Arts Council of Northeast Louisiana and the Louisiana Presenters Network.
