LSU Eunice’s administration has announced the August launch of a new campus carpooling network available to students, faculty and staff.
The rising cost of fuel has become an increasing hardship for many employees and students who travel to and from campus by car. In an effort to share the cost of travel, LSUE has begun testing an online system that will allow students, faculty and staff to exchange commuting information with colleagues for the purposes of arranging carpooling.
The University will be offering a new Web tool to make it easier for LSUE students, faculty and staff to find geographic matches for the purpose of creating carpool arrangements. The new online service is currently the fastest, most precise, and most informative worldwide trip matching process possible, using exclusive patented technology.
After the initial testing phase currently underway, LSUE will open the online system up for student enrollment.
Only LSUE students, faculty and staff can participate in the University carpooling program.
For more information, please contact the Office of Student Affairs and Enrollment Services at LSUE at 337-550-1218.
