LSUE Respiratory Care Graduates Receive Pins

EUNICE – Sixteen students recently participated in a pinning ceremony after completing the associate degree program in respiratory care on the LSU at Eunice campus.
Graduates of the program are eligible to take the national examination to become certified respiratory therapists.
Students completing the program are Valerie Brossard, Kaplan; Kristy Brown, Jennings; Alyx Chautin, Opelousas; Lynn Coleman, Pineville; Jada Fontenot, Reddell; Christopher Harrington, Abbeville; Curtis Hilton, Pineville; Sammy Karonika, Ville Platte; Bridget Landry, Lafayette; Tristan LaSalle, Abbeville; Angel Lowe, Lafayette; Henry Rozas, Jr., Eunice; Carolina Semien, Iota; Tricia Theriot, Marksville; Miranda Wright, Dry Creek; and Erin Yeates, Lafayette.
Kristy Brown received the Outstanding Student Award which is based on academic performance during the program. The Distinguished Student Award, which is voted on by the classmates, was also presented to Curtis Hilton.
Pins were awarded by Kathleen Warner, director of respiratory care, and by other members of the respiratory care faculty.
Dr. Alexandre Slatkin of Alexandria was guest speaker at the pinning ceremony.
