LSUE Foundation Receives $170,000

U.S. District Judge Richard Haik, Sr. presented LSU Eunice Chancellor William Nunez with a check for $170,000 for the LSU at Eunice Foundation. The funds are part of remaining reserves from the Union Pacific derailment settlement. Haik’s LSUE distribution will give $120,000 for the establishment of two endowed professorships and $50,000 to create Undergraduate Research Summer Institute endowment for the study of water quality in the areas impacted in by the 2000 derailment.
