EUNICE – The LSU Eunice Performing Arts Series will host actor Bill Oberst, Jr. on December 2 at 6:30 p.m. in the LSUE Heath Tech Auditorium as he performs his one man show of Charles Dicken’s A Christmas Carol.
Using only changes in voice and gesture, Oberst both narrates and acts out the roles of about a dozen different characters, using original text as much as possible. Decked out in 19th century top hat and tails, he recites the entire 45 minute piece without notes or breaks. Oberst moves freely about his stage and the audience, drawing audience members into the drama.
Tickets for the event are $4 per person, while LSUE students and children under 12 years of age or admitted for free. Tickets are available at the door or in advance from the LSUE Business Office in the Science Building on the LSUE campus. Tickets go on sale November 21. Seating is limited.
Oberst’s visit is sponsored by the LSUE Performing Arts Series and the LSUE Campus Activities Board. For additional information, please call 337-457-1510.
